Management is becoming exceptionally important in the context of nation building process. Management has not only become the buzz word of the elite and the business world but it has become an important instrument of utilizing the available resources in a judicious manner. Nepal urgently requires manpower with exposure to the modern management technique if she wishes to achieve overall development within the next two decades. For this the only sensible path is to produce management professionals through quality education. The four years BBA course of Tribhuvan University is designed with the contents that are transferable to the universities and colleges of the developed countries. The curriculum has also taken into consideration the real life challenges the students face after completing the course.

     Since, this millennium is the age of information – communication resolution small countries like Nepal can and should take advantage of the available technology. IT should also be used to overcome problems like poverty, environment and resource utilization. The Tribhuvan University curriculum of the Bachelor in Information Management (BIM) has a proper mix of Information Technology and Business Management. Thus, the students graduating in these faculties will be in a position to take on the responsibilities of the various areas in the management sector (Industry, Financial institutions, Government Service) as well as in the IT field.
