Graduation Requirements

Examination

The BIM/BBA program will be executed through the semester system. There will be altogether eight semesters required to complete the regular program. The internal (on going) evaluation shall carry 40 percent while the external (end of semester) examination shall carry 60 percent. The semester examinations will be conducted by the Office of the Dean, FOM.

Grading System

Students must secure grade ‘C’ or the average Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 in the internal evaluation in order to qualify to appear in the semester examination. In order to pass the semester examination the student must secure Grade C or the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.

 A  3.5 to 4.00  First Division with Distinction
 B  2.5 to 3.4  First Division
 C  2.0 to 2.4  Second Division
 D  1.5 to 1.9  Pass in individual Paper
 E  0 to 1.4  Fail

Failing in Course/Courses

In case of failure in one or more courses at the end of the semester examinations students can appear in make - up examination in the subsequent semester. A student can appear only in two courses (6 credit hours) in a semester. If the student fails in the make-up examination he/she shall have to register and repeat the course as per course cycle. A student can re-register only two courses (6 credit hours) in a semester. The examination of the re-registered course shall be held as per the course cycle.

Attendance

Students are required to attend regularly all the lectures, practical classes, seminars and presentations as required by the course. A candidate is required to attend at least 80% of such activities in order to be eligible to appear in the semester examination.

Credit Transfers and Withdrawal

The program allows students to transfer the credit earned by them in similar program of other universities recognized by Tribhuvan University. The maximum credit transfer allowed to a student shall be 15 credit hours. The FOM shall have the final authority to decide on the credit transfers.

A student who has partially completed the BIM/BBA program and would like to discontinue his/her studies shall be allowed to withdraw from the program. In such cases, a certificate specifying the credit earned by the student in the program shall be provided. 

Graduation Requirements

The BIM/BBA degree is awarded on its successful completion of the following requirements:

The successful completion of 126 credit hours for BIM and 120 credit hours for BBA as prescribed with passing grade of ‘C‘ or CGPA of 2.00. A minimum of Grade ‘C’ obtained in the Industrial Attachment Project. Completion of courses for the fulfillment of the requirements of the BIM/BBA Program must occur within seven years from the time of registration.
