Education to me has always been a part and parcel of illuminating the mind. The mind continues to learn and experience ever since man sets foot on this earth. The process of learning commences from the mother’s lap to grappling the father’s strong fingers for the first step, going through the portals of the school to battling with examinations of the school leaving levels and finally to the present stage-the college.

     Learning and knowledge never have an end, but the potential period to give the finishing touches to a successful life is definitely during these golden days of college. This phase is a stepping stone to a brilliant career. Though we do not have a very ancient history of our physical foundation, we possess a rich history of experiences and laurels to place us on the land mark of education. KCMIT (affiliated to TU) is the first college in Nepal to introduce the Bachelor in Information Management (BIM) program. It is a hybrid course of information technology and management. After a span of six and a half years, our fourth batch of students are all prepared to set out to face the challenges of the professional world. The experiences of the past years, the stable support of our experienced and dedicated faculty, committed team of board members, sincere staff and eager learners have steered our educational ship.

     From this year we have a new academic coordinator Mr. Sailendra Sigdel, who is a management professional, who has a rich experience in international and reputated organization like AIT. We will be introducing new courses in Banking and Finance, Human-Rights and Social Development by 2008. We are exploring the possibility of collaboration with academic institutes in Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom.

     Ever since its inception, the mission of KCMIT has been to produce professionally sound and socially responsible citizens who will be held in esteem always. The faculty in our march towards our target has done a Herculean task. Through their dedication we have been able to extract the best out of our students and have persevered to prepare them to face challenges in all  spheres with confidence.

     Finally I would like to welcome our new batch of students and at the same time assure them of our endeavour to work with the same sprit of yesterday to help them build a secure tomorrow.
